Hi all, adding to my AR15 build. Next on the list is a striped upper receiver.

This will be in addition to my RRA striped lower and Daniels Defense LPK.

I have looked at both RRA and Daniels Defense for striped uppers, they are about the same price. I'm sure they will both work fine but I am kinda leaning towards the RRA because it seems like the fit and coating would match best.

Any suggestions on quality or the best choice....

BTW - Inside will be a DD BCG.

Both should be excellent, but as you stated getting the RRA will probably match your lower better.

In many areas DD is better quality than RRA, but it isn't likely to be felt for a stripped upper.

I spent the extra money on a FAILZERO upper and BCG.

I liked it enough to do it again.

the first one was a 'matte grey' upper kit- which was more a goldish color

the second was a 'flat black' which was a good color match to a Spikes lower.

I am not brave enough to run them dry, but they do clean WAY easier than anything else.

Either of those uppers should have the same fit. There is possibly a difference in the coating. Go with the RRA as it should be a better color match. Both are 7075 and may even have the same forge marks.

I recently purchased an upper receiver from karrisguns.com. The receiver is manufactured by Aero Precision, the same company that manufactures receivers for Spikes Tactical. The quality is great.
