Not to me. I kinda like the way glocks look. Meaning the full sizers and compacts like the 20, 17, 19, etc. Those sub compacts i find unattractive, but that's me.
Since beauty is in the eye of the beholder your question can never conclusively be answered. I don't think Glocks are ugly or particularly good looking.
Associating the word "ugly" with Glock is in fact an insult to the word ugly.
I recommend we change the phrase to
"Someone beat that poor guy with the Glock stick!"
and of course
"She fell out of the Glock tree and hit every branch on the way down!"
Then we can reserve the word ugly for less hideous things like poison spiders, and Saab 900 cars, and piles of dog poo......
Ok, seriously though. I do not care for the looks of Glocks at all, but that is in no way a comment on their functionality. They tend to work, and I would trust my life to one if they made a gun/cartridge combo I wanted, and wasn't made by another company. I guess I look at Glocks like I look at a hammer. It will definitely get the job done, but it really isn't for looking at.
Everyone has different tastes. There's nothing wrong with that. I'm sure plenty of folks would find my taste in guns horrendous. This is an odd question.......
In a traditional sense, yes Glocks are ugly. Hard to say a Glock is pretty when it's standing next to 1911s, HiPowers, classic S&W or Colt revolvers, older Berettas, etc...
But in a practical sense, it doesn't look that bad, it's just getting the job done. When manufacturers try to add a little too much style to their polymer handguns, that's what I don't like.
I like em, but it does depend on the size. I think the mid size (19/23) look great, the full size are OK (but not great) and the sub-compacts are butt ugly.
In the world of polymer guns, they're aesthetically middle of the road to me, where Walther pegs the ugly meter. And several Rugers are not far behind.......
