Are guns your primary hobby?

no. horses are they are a lifestyle. guns are something i enjoy the challenge of the history and the mechanics and while not a passing interest not the biggest paycheck strain by far.

Yes, but guns spawn many subsidiary hobbies. Right now, I'm into metalworking techniques, third world style. Next Spring I hope to enroll in a vocational welding program. I missed so much attending graduate school. My other hobby is animal husbandry.

i do a couple random things as a hobby, other than firearms i also work on my car, restore old stuff (snowmobiles, lawn tractors, etc), and more interestingly i make chainmail

I have just taken up guns and shooting. Mainly so I can spend some quality time with my oldest son doing something we both enjoy. I live in the country, so he can visit and bring his gun(s).

My main hobby for the last 10 years has been woodworking.

Guns are definitely my favorite hobby, but I don't enjoy it as often as my other ones due to cost. If I had more money, I'd have more guns, ammo and range time.

Well I have a wife and 4 little girls so they occupy most of my non-work time. After that I have fishing (Bass, trout, etc, if it involves a fish and a pole/line I am there). I am trying to get back into hunting but had a lot of trouble in NC finding spots and getting going on that front.

It is the first 2 hobbies which spawned my firearms collection. Had an interesting fellow approach me at a boat launch after hours with my oldest daughter with me. Lets just say he and his friend were not interested in what I caught that day and though everything worked out alright, I was not happy with the lack of options I had for protecting myself and my little girl. So I got me a S&W M&P 40 FS and it has been downhill from there, lol.
