Are Lee and Hornady Shellholders interchangeable?

Can I juse Lee shellholders on a Hornady single stage LNL press? Or do you have to use Hornady shellholders on a Hornady press?

Shellholders are interchangeable.

Nearly all modern shellholders are the same type of attachment. Some really old shellholders are different, but we're talking really old here.

Bear in mind that the numbers don't always match up- for example an RCBS #2 and a Lee #3 are the same, and a RCBS #3 and a Lee #2 are the same. Odd? It gets weirder from there. There's charts on the web that decode which fits which calibers.

There are slight differences. Hornady shellholders have larger diameter holes for the primer punch for instance.

These two are not interchangeable. I cannot use Lee shellholders in my Hornady Case Trimmer because the anvil is too large to fit through the hole.
I can use Hornady shellholders in my Lee presses, but priming on the press is very difficult as the priming lever has way too much slop in the larger hole.
