neither walmart near me has had em in 6 months or any other value pack .22s but for the last month both have had winchester 333's ( which work ok in my 77/22 but havent tried it in anything else yet).

Seems to be a regional thing. Bulk pack 22s are VERY scarce here at all outlets. When they come in, they are only around for about an hour.

I would expect .22 ammo to be in short supply in purgatory. :D

Yesterday I was at my local WalMart. Plenty of 22 value packs in both Federal and Remington. Lots of 223 value packs as well, and plenty of SW. In fact, the shelf space for those was full so they probably had more in back.

They also had:

5 boxes of 9mm
1 box 25acp
2 boxes 44 mag
Assorted hunting rifle ammo
a few boxes of .410 shells for pistols (thats what the box said - for pistols)
about 20 boxes of 45acp SD ammo (20 rds/box about $22/box)
not a slug to be found
plenty of bird shot

WalMarts in CenTex have never been short on shotgun slugs or buckshot; recently Federal ammo in 9mm, 40, & 45 have become common again but more expensive. And word to the wise, for some reason 100-shot WWB value packs can be priced a LOT lower than 2 50-round boxes. Go figure...

Yep, my WallyWorld has them for about the first fifteen minutes they are on the shelf. Clerks tell me they have people asking when trucks will be in and waiting around till they bring it from the back and buy as much as they can. Even with the 6 box max purchase they don't last long enough for me to get there in time.:(

I thought I saw them a few weeks ago but it may have been a 525 pack. I also thought I saw a smaller pack. Is there like a 325 round pack or something like that? I'm not sure as I haven't followed it closely as my 10/22 doesn't like the stuff. It shoots it accurately but for some reason stove pipes every few rounds. It likes the Winchester Xpert and 333 packs much better so that's what I use.
