    It's nice to see a positive gun story of someone that did all the things right. It also points out one more time the old adage that "When seconds count the police are only minutes away".

    I look at it this way. When a second counts, my 180-grain JHP can be 1050 feet away.

    *I know I'm ignoring the effect of drag on bullet speed and therefore distance, but you get my meaning.

    Too bad this won't make national news as an example of how effective the right to carry can be when used by good law abidding citizens that actually have common sense about them.

    Why would you BUY a knife when you are just going to jail. Might as well add theft to the list of attempted murder...lulz. So many wack jobs out there. No wonder more people are carrying guns for self-protection.
