Just a recurring nit I want to pick ;)

The names are similar, and seem to be interchanged very often, but they refer to separate entities both concerned with serving firearms users.

    Armscor
The Arms Corporation of the Philippines (Armscor) is familiar to many firearms enthusiasts for its inexpensive 1911-pattern pistols, revolvers, shotguns, sporting rifles, firearms parts and ammunition. It traces its beginnings to a Manila gun retail store (Squires Bingham & Co.) in 1911, though the present corporation was first set up in 1952. Armscor manufacures its own line of firearms but also takes on manufacturing contracts for other companies firearm lines, such as Twin Pines' Rock Island Armory (RIA), and the Charles Daly brand of 1911-type pistols, among others elsewehere. The company has referred to itself in the past decades as alternately, Armscor and/or Armscorp, but has for some time settled on the spelling that is less ambiguous to pronounce. The company remains focused on manufacturing and is represented in the US by its subsidiary Armscor Precision International (API), located in Nevada.

    Armscorp
Armscorp USA is familiar to parts-rifle builders of FALs, M1's, M14's, Mausers, and the like as a source of original-military rifle parts. It is a US subsidiary of Krygstuig Korporasie van Suid-Afrika (Armaments Corporation of South Africa) in Pretoria, which unfortunately also uses the abbreviation 'Armscor'. The South African company traces its beginnings to 1948 as the state's vast defense manufacturing arm, although the present sub-company was incorporated only in 1977 as a result of the apartheid government's reorganizations, and then started using the name 'Armscor' a little later. The company today is focused on acquisition and resale. Armscorp USA is located in Maryland. The South Africans had to add the "p" to its name in the US, when it was determined that Armcor of the Philippines predated them both in the US and worldwide.

    Hi 3006mv :)

No difference aside from the markings ---except the RIA's are more likely to be newly manufactured, and I guess newer is better.

    :)
