Ok, real picture from right now-
...and the super specialized mobile thing with legs thats weighted down with bullets-
Weird. I've been working that app pretty hard and it's taking it like a champ. Just a little fiddly to get it right.
Pretty clean though . I was talking about some old ammo on another thread so I had some of that stuff pulled out. Otherwise my workspace is usually clear. Oh well.

I’ve got lots of bench space as our house has an entire room for my hobbies. That said, I clean my bench every weekend if Ive done any reloading. It makes my next project move much faster.

Some of you people are sick and need help. You probably throw out perfectly good empty powder cans and bullet boxes too. OH THE HORROR! What do you do when you need a dingus or a widget or need to fabricate a Goldberg device and don't have any 5 gallon buckets, Bulgarian ammo crates, or broken plastic totes from work to go rifling through? Are you passing these lifestyle choices on to young, impressionable children who should instead of learning cleanliness and organization, be learning how to replace the carbide runner assembly on a 1991 Indy 500 SKS with an old chainsaw bar and a stick welder from 1949 that trips the breaker 3 out of 4 times you plug it in, while sneaking a peek at "that" dusty old poster on the wall of a bikini model holding a case of beer of similar vintage to the snowmobile?

My bride of 57 years sweeps the floor occasionally but that’s only because it’s on the way to the laundry room and she hates to see the wood chips dragged in from the adjacent wood shop. She even sweeps the shop floor on occasion. Other wise clutter is the norm.

I'll admit it I "sort of" clean up from the last time to get enough space to do another reloading run. There comes a time every 2-3 years it gets to the point I can't find anything then I'll spend a couple days going through the whole room cleaning and inventory everything. Then I'll start the process all over again sadly.

That doesn't effect me at all.....I can never find anything.....I put it down 5 minutes ago, and it takes 30 minutes to find it again.....sometimes it's not even in the same room....sometimes its in a front pocket with my change....found my socket wrench in there yesterday. You young guys may not experience this for a few years......
The following is my latest mess-making project.....and the only flat surface left to fit things is on the 3D printer's bed........

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one losing it. What takes you five minutes to lose/forget I can do in half the time.
No. The reason why is my main work bench is right alongside. I run most projects over there. I do tend to be a little OC though.

I do. Me and only me. Letting others mess with my stuff cost me a powder scale years ago when my son dropped it on a concrete floor. My two oldest great grand daughters commandeer it now and then to use it as a table but they don't touch grandpa's stuff when they do.
Amen to that, brother. I wander around in the morning several times looking for the latest hiding place for my coffee cup. I need to just sit down and stay put until I finish drinking it.
Nope. I actually keep powder cans and stuff of appropriate vintage. They become part of my "collection".

I use the random method of organization, since I won't remember where I put it I have just as good a chance of finding it no matter where it is
(not quite that bad yet but as I get older CRS disease rears it's ugly head)

I do like your built in drawers. Very nice. I'd like to add a set of shelves above my benches, but I don't have the skills. Maybe I'll work on that this springtime. I do have a cheap rollaway with plastic bins to hold items I use frequently...it helps.

Don't know why I never thought of this. This type of shelving should be simple for my skill level to install without a lot of effort. I've got a stud finder and a good drill. Thanks for sharing. I could probably even add peg board to the background with the right amount of offset.
Yep, that's simple stuff to do. Makes you feel like you are doing something too.
