Astra 9MM ?

Someone has offered to sell me a Astra 9MM pistol for $150.00.
It appears to be in good condition, has a nickel finish, and two 17 round magazines. I have never seen one of these guns before, and know nothing about them. Is it worth the price that he is asking, and are these guns any good ?

Take it. I have an Astra Mod A-90 and love it. The 17 round mags go for $65 each here by themselves. I have two 15 round mags myself.

For a DA/SA with a great safety (I like it) and a de-cocker that works, your price seems more than fair.

Grab it I carry a A100 45 daily have shot 1000's of rounds 0 malfunctions accurate also.

Ive taken Darrin's model 90 and pulled the trigger as fast as i could to burn though all 15 fast....not one failure, and this was after a day when he put probaly 100-200 rounds though it already without any malfuntions

I have a little collection of Astra A-100s in all three calibres: 9mm, .40, and .45, and in a variety of finishes. I have found these pistols to be well-made, reliable, accurate, and fun to shoot. I think the steel may be softer than in some other pistols, and you may experience a faster rate of wear on the surfaces where the slide touches the frame. But I don't think you will wear one out. An excellent weapon.

The Astra A-100 (most likely) is a pretty good gun. The metal on some is softer...Ive known smiths that bitch because their trigger job is gone is 2000 rnds...but hey what the hell!

The design is Sig influenced..the shape and controls are very similar. They are very dependable, accurate and comfy to shoot.
They are big enough to get a great grip on for fast shooting and fairly light for their size.....Get it now!

I know where there is a NIB Nickel A-100 with a couple of hi caps for around 350$..If your in Utah...email me if you want it..they have more than 1...but most are blue.

That sounds like the kind of deal that everyone wants to get! I wish I knew people who would sell me guns like that for that kind of cash. Buy it! If you don't like it, put it up for sale here and it will sell immediatly, so there really is no risk!

I bought the gun yesterday. It is a A100 with nickel finish and two 17 round magazines. The seller said that it has only been fired 50 rounds, and was kept in the bedroom as a house gun. I took it apart last night and gave it a good cleaning and lubrication. Am very impressed with the design and quality of this gun. Thanks to everyone for the information. Really glad that I bought it. Will probably be my best buy this year.

I thought that the finish on this gun was nickel, but it looks more like stainless steel. Did Astra make a A-100 in stainles steel ?

I have one in stainless. It is marked Inox on the slide. I think one is presently for sale on one of the gun auction sites. Most of the silvery ones, I believe, are nickel finish.
