Here are some pictures of a neat Spanish Astra Model 960 .38 special revolver! it is of very high quality. This particular revolver was not imported into this Country. Instead, it was carried here by it's original owner from Spain-thus, it wasn't stamped with any import markings! Except for some holster wear on the barrel, this gun was not fired much and evidently was mostly carried! At the time the model 960 was produced primarily for Police usage around the world, although the Model 960 .38 was not allowed to be imported to the U.S.A., this same revolver chamber in the .357 magnum caliber(The Astra Model 357)was permitted to be imported here!

Although the Model 960 .38 looks similar to an Smith & Wesson Model 19, actually, it is built on the larger, Smith & Wesson N-frame size! Take note of the picture below showing the unique hammer strut spring tension adjustment ring! This ring has four different depth holes drilled into it which gives you four different spring tensions, just by slipping this ring out of the grip frame and reinstalling the hammer strut into one of these four holes! A very neat idea!

Nice looking revolver & you can never have too many .38's! Curious how it shoots.

Nice .38! That spring adjustment feature is pretty slick! How is the trigger and accuracy?

The trigger is real smooth and easy to pull in it's current spring adjustment hole but I haven't tried any of the other holes yet. I haven't fired this Astra 960-but, I'll be doing this in the near future! These guns are of much higher quality than the smaller Astra Cadex .38 revolvers! They have stood up well under severe police usage around the world and were proven to be reliable. I'm very impressed with this revolver! I can't wait to see how it shoots! I'm saying this, in light of having some Smith's and Colt's with some great triggers!

Yes, both the Astra 960 and their model 357(Same revolvers except for caliber)are far better guns than most people might give them credit for! If these revolvers weren't good, they wouldn't have been approved for police and military usage around the world! Also, I think that the quality of these Astra revolvers are even better than what Taurus offers!
