ATF change of address

I carry a copy of the paperwork that has my photo and the tax stamp with my M16. The original stays in my safe. I was looking at it today and the address on it is for a business location I am no longer at.

Question...do I need to update the address? If so, how?

You just notify NFA branch in writing.

That's assuming the change was in state. If you moved to another state well, you may have a bit of a legal problem if you didn't file a 5320.20.

Yes you need to tell them, but don't expect a quick response.

Just to let you know, they won't send you a new or ammended form or anything like that. All you get is a letter saying thanks for helping update our records.

I just got my 5320-20 back from the ATF after 6 months. They didn't send a letter, they returned the original form back to me with 3, (count them 3) different signatures.
