Anyone know the offerings and velocities on this ammo. I just caught a segment on G&A TV about it. Its supposed to be a premium hunting round at a bargain basement price. Might be worth trying out, but I cant get into their website. I would love to know what calibers it available in and the coresponding velocities (especialy in .44mag and 30-30)
Thanks

The store I work at here in PA has it stocked in .243, 30-30, .308, 30-06 and a few other rifle calibers I don't recall at the moment. We aren't stocking it in handgun calibers; I don't know if it's offered in any yet or not. It's actually loaded by Federal and has ballistics nearly identical to standard Federal Premium loads. Personally I think the low prices offered at the moment are a marketing ploy designed to get people to buy it and try it out while it's new. Right now we're selling Fusion shells for about the same price as Remington Core-Lokts. If it's well recieved look for the prices to go up.

Isn't it a joint effort between Federal and Speer?

The latest American Rifleman had a really good write-up on this stuff. I think that's what they said about Federal/Speer. I also think they said that the bullets are made with a similar process to gold dots. The bullet itself is mushroomed and then heated and formed back into the standard bullet shape. Supposedly this helps it go back into the same consistent mushroom shape every time. I might try it out this season if it's accurate through my rifle.

"...premium hunting round at a bargain basement price..." That'd be an oxy-moron. You get what you pay for. There ain't no free lunch.
They're talking 2820fps for a 150 grain .308. That's a maximum load in my manual.
