I posted a similar thread in the trading post, but I am desperate - I really want/need an ejector for my Keltec P11. Mine broke - this is the second time in less than a year - and I have the skill to replace it myself, but the Keltec people are on vacation until Jan 4th, then I have to wait for them to stick it in the mail.

I would be more than glad to reimburse you with a few dollars for your trouble if you have either a spare ejector or a P11 in a state of disuse that you wouldn't mind grabbing the ejector outta. You could request another for the factory for free when they reopen Jan. 4th.

This is my only carryable gun, so it'd be a huge favor.

PM or reply...

Thanks!

conwict... a question IYDM...

How many rounds through your P11 before the ejector died?

Just curious as I carry the P11 everyday/everywhere.

Sorry for the late reply. In fact, a ktog guy did help me.

CoRoMo, it broke twice. I'd estimate the first time after about 300 rounds, and the second time after an additional 300-400. That is conservative if anything, could have been more. Most were WWB, a few Blazer Brass, and a very few +P+ rounds. I don't attribute it to the +P+ rounds at all though.

Very, very frustrating, but luckily -if- it were to happen during a gunfight, the gun will typically still eject without the full ejector. It jams about 10-15% of the time without (this last time), but that's better than a gun rendered fully inoperable.

Other people have shot thousands with no breakage. My bad luck I guess. There is something going around about how they made an ejector to fit both the PF9 and P11 after the PF9 came out, that it's thinner, and that's why it breaks on the P11...but I'm really not so sure I buy that.

I would go ahead and get a spare from Keltec, customer service should send it for free. Not a reason not to carry/buy the gun IMO...it's the only problem I've had.

Got your PM. Thanks.

If I ever experience such a breakage, I'll post here.
Luckily, mine has been through a few hundred rounds and is as good as new.

There's supposedly a mod you can do to round down the ejector and make it less prone to breakage...from the dearth of threads on the topic in general, I doubt it's very common anyway. Just my luck :)

Not too hard to replace, either. The gun is pretty easy to take all the way down, just keep all the screws and pins and bolts and springs in a dish.
