    Did anyone catch Breaking Bad?
I was trying to see what kind of automatic the protagonist takes from the drug dealer, was it an EAA Witness? (Bren Ten maybe?)

I thought it was a stainless Beretta 92. At first I thought it was a stainless 1911. I guess my powers of observation need a little work...

In the commercials I saw it looked like he had a stainless 3rd generation S&W - 5906, 4906, etc.

    Could it have been that?

Of course, knowing Hollywood, it could have been all of the above.

It's a Smith and Wesson stainless 3rd generation, like mentioned.

Sorry i have to say it but i think Smith and Wesson destroyed the simplicity of the 1911.

I saw that last night... the show holds promise. The main character is holding a S&W 4506 with factory adjustable sights. there were some great shots of it, especially the business end.

Great show, and another vote for S&W.

    Looks like criminals with guns.

BTW, Brian Cranston is such a funny actor.

It's probably the same gun used on "The Shield"

it is in fact the same model S&W that Vick Mackey uses. A 4506 with factory adj. sights.

Don't forget Sonny Corckett carried a 4506 in seasons 3,4,and 5 of Miami Vice. Had a Sig in the pilot, then a Bren Ten, until the end of Season 2, when the Bren 10mms were discontinued. Michael Mann chose to equip Don Knotts with the coolest weaponry of the day. (remembe his Detonics 1911 BUG?)

Also, Alonzo (Denzel Washington) carried a brace of 4506s in a dual shoulder holster in "Training Day."

I'm pretty sure Don Knotts had a revolver.

    With one round of ammunition.

    In his shirt pocket.

BTW, does anyone know what revolver Barney Fife carried?

funny, I had to edit the linked page (Training day). The copy stated that Denzel's pistols had custom sights; they are clearly just factory adjustable sights.

    the site is neat though.

S&W Model 4506 was one of the first .45ACP handguns approved for duty use by the LAPD, hence it's usage in "Training Day" and "The Shield". :p

I wanted to go back and take a look. It struck me that the pistol he ended up with outside was diff than the one he reached for in the camper. May have just seen it that way...
