The Auto Assault-12 (AA-12) is an automatic 12-guage shotgun can fire 300 rounds per minute and is recoilless.

Something like this might make me change my attitude about shotguns

There are fragmenting high explosive 12ga rounds called FRAG12s as well. A handheld automatic flak cannon for skeet...

Saw it on futureweapons. That thing mounted on top of a truck is stupid. You have like 60 rounds on an automatic shotguns(30 each)....The question is, whos going out to reload the gun every 2 minutes?

Concept has been around since the 70s, IIRC, with the Atchisson (sp) Assault-12.


And no, not recoil-less, but rather much less recoil, due to the design of the bolt mechanism.
