On an average day at the range, how many firearms do you take with you. I ask this because a friend of mine said that the attendant at our range stopped him yesterday and told him he could not bring all the firearms he brought in with him. He had 4 firearms. I usually take at least 3 (big revolver, small revolver, auto) and sometimes as many as 5 if I have something new. I have never ran into this before myself. Since we have to buy our ammo from them I would think they would want us to have to buy as many different calibers as possible. :)

Usually only 2

Most of the time I will take a .22 rimfire and whatever centerfire I want to work with that day. I'll start of with the .22 for 100 (+/-) rounds. Switch to the centerfire, then wind down with the .22 again at the end of the session.

Great timing I just went to the handgun range yesterday. I took with me my Sig P239, Smith and Wesson 500, Springfield “loaded” 1911, Kimber Rimfire Target, Feather AT22, and Glock 29. I brought my .22s for a friend to use, my S&W .500 and Glock to test fire a few reloads, and did most of my paper pounding with my Sig and Springfield.

Most of the time I only take 3 or 4 guns to the range but there are times, mostly when I am going with our college gun club, that I bring as many as 9.

When we go to the rifle and pistol range I usually tend to stock up on goodies. Usually I bring 9 handguns and about 5 rifles. Again, this is when I go with our gun club so much of what I bring is for newbies to shooting to use.

Most rules have their origin because someone abused the priviledge......probably caused by some guy with two thigh holsters, two in the waist band, right and left shoulder holsters, and matching ankle carry's as well as twin bandoliers of ammo and rifles in each hand.....undoubtedly alarmed the other range users.

Never fewer than 2. I'd hate to pay the range fee and have a problem that made me stop early.

Normally 4 though, one of which is always a 22lr pistol or revolver.

Rambo Wannabe may draw quite a few chuckles, but no one around here would be alarmed.

Usually around 3 or 4 for an indoor range. At least in .22, 9mm and .45. Outdoor ranges I'll bring more, but that'll usually include rifles and shotguns.

That's weird to have a limit on how many to bring into the range. I'd go elsewhere. :scrutiny:

today it was two AR15s, a 1911, and an HK USC. i'd intended to bring a henry 22lr lever, but forgot it. like everyone else mentioned, i always take a 22. usually it's the ceiner conversion kit for the AR15.

if i'm bringing company, i'll drag out a bunch of 9mm pistols too.

if i'm shooting precision rifle, then i usually only bring the rifle and a 1911 because i also have to pack in a chrony, laptop, my strain gauge stuff, and usually my arbor press and hand dies and reloading components.

Minimum two if I am going alone. Minimum four if my wife is joining me. I have has as many as 8-10 with me.

Of course then there are days like these. :neener: :what:

Last time out I took four. I think one time I took five but usually I only bring one or two. I always clean my guns after shooting them and doing 4 or 5 guns take more time out of my evening than I would like.

how many?

colt 1911 .45 auto with slide and sights from Austin Beyhart rip , cz75 .9 mm, kel-tec .380, k frame smith 4" .22. and plenty of ammo.

If it is a lunch time practice... just my carry piece.

Other times... well... I had 8 in the car but only took 6 of them inside with me.

My range is just 3 or 4 minutes away and free, so I seldom take more than 1 and a half or 2. By 1 and a half, I mean my .45 along with it's .22 conversion unit. Sometimes though, I'll take a .22 and some other centerfire pistol.
