I was wondering if any other Arizonans felt that, if we were to become extremely organized and active, that we could try and push some pro gun legislation through prior to the '10 state elections.

It seems like w/o Gov. Napolitano around to veto some of these bills, we could get some great things accomplished accomplished, since future gov. Brewer seems like an ally of the RKBA.

I was thinking particularly about allowing restaurant carry, CCW on campus, and other such measures that she (Gov. Napolitano) vetoed or threatened to veto, seeing as we have a conservative majority in the legislature?

Just a thought, maybe there's a silver lining for us regarding Mr. Obama's election :)

Two that definitely need to happen. I would love to see these types of things happen now that JaNo is going to out of here.

I'll be making calls, hopefully the AZDL will be on this like "stink on a monkey".

I hope so, Brewer and Napalitano are pretty diametrically opposed politically, but I can't think off the top of my head what Brewer's firearms position is "officially".

According to the AZ Star, here are the firearms related measures on the table this legislative session in AZ:

∫ Permit people to carry weapons into establishments that serve alcohol.

∫ Allow people who feel threatened to unholster their guns.

∫ Reduce or eliminate the penalty for carrying a concealed weapon without a permit.

∫ Let people have a weapon anywhere in their vehicle without running afoul of concealed weapons laws.

I believe all of these passed last session, and were subsequently vetoed by Gov. Napolitano.

Isn't the good governor one of The Messiah's worshipers?
