I heard from a friend of Dave's (who does not post here much), that yesterday he (Dave) had a fire which pretty much destroyed everything - meaning right now that any holster orders that were not complete and shiipped will be dead in the water.

It seems that no one was hurt, which is the big blessing but - anyone waiting on a holster order will of course have a considerably longer wait now.

I have no more info right now and Dave is without net access too - so I will hope that soon as he can he will come along and give more details. His friend has told me that the Azrael Holster website has been updated with this info.

Glad to hear that Dave is okay and not hurt. Hope he's able to get back on track soon.

If it isn't one thing it's something else. I've got one of his pocket holsters and it's great, looks like a billfold or cellphone to a casual observer. It's quick on the draw and has a hook to keep it in your pocket. I'm glad he's ok.

P95Carry,

Know of any way we can get a $$$ donation to him to help him out?

Eric - I still haven't heard any update but - guess unless he has some 'net access he will be missing a bit longer.

I very much look forward to having him back here to post - I thought of emailing him - but that wouldn't do much good right now!

Hiya guys....

As has been said ,pretty much 90% of everything me and my daughter owned was trashed, this includes most of my holster making supplies...However I am working on getting a couple of loaner tools from one of the local saddle makers, so I can get the orders that are already accepted done and sent to there rightful owners...

But as of right now Azrael's Custom Leather is more or less "closed"...

On a personal note...We dont really need anything but I do thank those that have offered...The Red Cross and my family have stepped up to make sure Becca has everything she needs and that is what matters to me right now...

Me and Becca were not home at the time of the fire...the only casualty of the fire was my daugher's cat "Kitty"...Only cat I ever liked and it deserved a far better end than it got...Telling a 3 1/2 year old that her cat is dead isnt something that I wanted to do, so "Kitty" escaped through a window and is now living with her friends...

To everyone that has posted here, I thank you...From the bottom of my heart I thank you...

One more thing...Get really good smoke detectors as well as carbon monoxide detectors...They save lives everyday

And please support your local Red Cross...They are good people

thanks again
Dave & Rebecca Burke

Dave - more than relieved to see you come along and post. :)

What can I say fella, except my sincerest sympathies for what you have gone thru. No amount of sympathy tho rebuilds houses.

You do tho as you know have a good many friends here so - lean on us for support as you feel necessary and call for help if if needed. I for instance am a long ways away but - my thoughts have been with you in all this.

One day ahead it will hopefully be a bad memory. Take care.

Bad Luck

Azrael
Sorry to hear this bad new. I know others have offered help, Well, here's another offer of help,, tools, leather, Dye??

Any thing but lessons, ;) :D [just kiddin']

Azrael-My sincere sympathy for your loss. Thankfully no one was hurt. Best of luck, and hang in there.

I would like to thank the members of this board who have posted in this time of need for a fellow HighRoader. It gives me faith that there still are some good folks out there. I think we have one H*ll of a great group here. Makes me proud to be amongst you all.

Mr. Tettnanger

Hi guys...Sorry for the delay in posting...My internet is very sporadic right now

Eric, will call ya..thanks

RJ...Ahhh advice I already got from ya :neener: but I appreciate it :D

Chris...Thanks bro

Mr Tettenger...Yup THR has alot of good people...

OHH and on a less pleasant note...Found out something the other day...Smoke detectors never went off...Heat melted them before they sounded...At least according to the Fire Marshal...So have a back-up to the smokedetector...Gonna take a look see at the Carbon Monoxide detectors when I finally get a new place...

Thanks again
Dave

Dave,
Please call me if there is anything that I can do to help. (423.733.1779) Maybe I can loan you a few tools, stitch a few holsters for you, send you some leather? Let me know.

Fellow forumites:
How about we start a collection to help out? I'll raffle off a few holsters and send him the proceeds if ya'll are interested. Let me know. Thanks!
