Knife fighting is disgusting. You have to stab and hack 20x more than you think, to have a real effect.

This perps reaction was mostly psychological, I'll bet.

If you're decent hand to hand, you can walk into a knife fight as easily as a pitbull fight. You might get sliced up, but you'll still have plenty of opportunity to land blows just as bad.

Theres a reason why absurdly large fixed blade knifes are banned from carry in many states. Little knifes, that count as tools, are very challenging to do anything with.
