Correction
A dozen or more people tell you your idea is flawed
actually its more like 5 or 6 very loud people - who have not provided anything in the way of proof of flaw. Some just said "waste of time". That is not proof of flaw. That is uneducated opinion.
That's not a barrage; that's a consensus
a bunch of people yelling the world is flat may be a consensus but again, repeating opinions over and over does not make it any more true.

First, I know the definition and behavioral indications of arrogance. If you think what you and some others have posted is higher knowledge...whew...thank you for the laugh.
People were doomed as soon as they disagreed

Everything was fine until post #4 - RCmodel - you call his post higher knowledge ? He calls applying "magic froglube" "voodoo science". That was good natured debate or was that derogatory ?
Then some decent posts but within 5 or 6 posts later, two "waste of time and energy". Okay..thats an opinion. No fact. No higher knowledge. Just opinion. Not see the refuting of my method yet.
I had no issue with the humorous posts about cookies, baking, etc...very good natured.
Someone mentions my metal oil mistake. I quickly respond, I misspoke. I am not ignorant. I know steel is not porous. And that's when all went south. people would not let it go.
Then a few more "No benefit, waste of time" Like their word comes from on high....THATS is the definition of a troll. On other boards we call them thread-crappers. People who add nothing but crap on a thread.
Now in this time there have also been a number of positive posts. Some people appreciated, some people joked, but they were civil.
But the ones that were negative were so much so even Tarakian posted this
Wow, lots of responses that don't really take the "High Road". OP is not dissing anyone's lube method (or their grandfather's), but a lot of people seem to be willing to trash the method he is trying even though they have never tried it themselves. I see a fellow shooter trying to share something that is working for him. Don't like the idea, move on and keep using what works for you, or start your own thread sharing your method.
so it wasn't just me that could see some people making...you know what of themselves.
Next thing I know, CWL, 460 Kodiak, Walt and you, meanmrmustard went into attack mode. Not my process or the product. ME. It was personal - picking apart everything I said.
Well, like we say in the other forum, if attacked, defend - I tried evade but it did not help. I tried to close the negative several times to no avail.
So before you go pointing fingers, have a drink of reality. Anyone with "higher knowledge" can see who attacked whom and whose behavior precipitated where we are now.
