• Possible Downtime Alert

I am working to migrate THR from the current cluster to a new one. I would like to get this done before the weekend, but it's unclear what the timeframe will be, as testing is still ongoing. As I am writing this the new (rebuilt) host is doing a burn-in to ensure that everything will keep running under load.

When the migration happens users will see a Cloudflare message indicatating it cannot connect to the server. This is expected, and depending on how the migration goes this may last from 30 minutes to 3 hours - I won't know more until testing the various migration options is complete and I have finalized the plan.

More information is available in this thread.

As always, thanks so much for your patience.

Earlier this year I posted that ww748 killed my intellidropper. 748 is a very fine powder granted but now I'm reluctant to try any ball powders in my intellidropper. Has anyone successfully run ball powders thru their measure and what mods if any did you make to do it successfully. After my rebuild it works wonderfully with IMR's but thats kinda restrictive.

I don’t know if AA9 is a ball powder, but it’s mighty fine granules and has run flawlessly in mine…..

He only “mod” that I’ve done is add a layer of clear scotch tape on the outside bottom of the hopper to make it a bit more snug…..
and sprayed the inside and outside of the plastic hopper with StaticGuard…

I run tac and h335 through my dispenser but that's small volume for testing. Once I get the load I use a measure.... a measure works well in the small volumes I use it...

Ball powder bounces out of my pan and roll behind the power button.I had to unplug it and repeatedly tap the buttons to clear the powder to get it to work again.I need to get a pan with taller sides I think

Lyman #55 will drop any powder accurately if you set the slides to create a deep narrow charge cavity and use it with a consistent operation .
Perhaps it's not so much a powder problem but a ... powder dispensor problem .
When I want absolute accuracy with any powder ... I use a powder scoop .
You can get extremely accurate with a scooped powder charge and it is Safe ...
You see the powder as it is scooped and you see it go in the case ...
With a scoop you know if something is not right because you watch the process all the way into the case and get to look into the case right then and there .
Slow down when it comes to powder dispensing , that is the one aspect you want to get completely right and accurately done .

Funny you should say that... W748. It, basically, locked up my Hornady Auto Charge Pro... the fine powder worked it's way around the drop tube bushing and into the mechanism. I had to completely disassemble the mechanics of it to clear it. I thought I'd give it a go, again, and the same results. So... I only use my Hornady with IMR powders. I emailed Hornady about it, and they admitted that it does tie up with certain, fine powders. No duh.

I have an Intellidropper, picked it up in TGRH#2. I've fiddled with it, briefly, to see how it works, and only with IMR powder. I don't trust it not to lock up with fine ball powders, like W748.... the mechanism is basically the same in how it works.
