I've read countless threads and posts about how Bank of America has been trampling our rights. I don't use them but they are huge and many people do.

The reason for this thread is confusion. On the news tonight, the mayor of Chicago called out Bank of America for giving open lines of credit to large gun makers and he asked them to cut them off.

So, which is it? BOA is anti-gun or they help the gun makers?

No 2nd amendment supporter should be banking with BOA. They are very anti-gun and have been for years. Just ask the folks at McMillian. I for one will be very careful with how my money is spent, who I spend it with, who's services I use, etc. I've always tried to support local business and not buy crap from China so long at I'm not paying and excessive premium for what it is I'm buying. Now, I will also always take into account the political affiliation of those that I do business with. I'm a proud American and I will not sell out my country for personal gain. No way in hell would I ever buy a UAW made GM vehicle....Talk about selling out for personal gain....:(

I used to have a credit card with BOA, but I dropped them and told them why. Every gun owner with a BOA CC should seriously consider doing the same thing. We are in a serious fight for our gun rights right now.

This is what I've read. How do they explain allowing lines of credit to the gun makers? I have no interest with dealing with BOA. I guess I'm stunned by their double standards. It's ok to make millions of dollars from the gun makers while they stomp on our rights behind our backs? That is slimy.

The McMillan story has held water as far as I know, and would be enough to discourage me from doing business with them. Their participation in the federal bail out program is also enough to keep me from doing any business with them (or actually terminating business I had with them).

There are plenty of reasons to avoid doing business with BOA, their position on guns and gun-related businesses is only one of them.

Strange how BoA is located on some military bases? I have never understood why with their history being anti gun. Well though money talks?

.....the mayor of Chicago called out Bank of America for giving open lines of credit to large gun makers and he asked them to cut them off.

B of A is without a doubt anti gun. They announced it publicly. That said don't confuse what some Obama Chicago hack calls for as fact......what I'm saying is if the Rahm guy said that and suddenly B of A says "Yes sir", well it wasn't because of what the mayor asked for right then to do, as in the typical Democrat instant patronizing. B of A, Too Big To Fail is now one with the liberal gov.

Ain't crony capitalism great?

People are such fools. We have Obama voters on this board!

How is BOA of against the 2nd Amendment if they have open lines of credit with gun manufacturers?

I'm confused.

I doubt the military powers that be took any of that into consideration, but it should be noted that the military as an organization is extremely anti-gun. I'm not talking about individual members of the .mil, but the institution itself, which infringes 2A rights of its members in ways that would make Bloomberg et al excited.
