I wonder what Feinstein will say about that.

Not all that shocking--now--since she has been instrumental in the armed-pilots movement since 9/11.

It does surprise me a bit that she actually stood up and made a stink about it this far down the line, though. Good for her.

She probably figured out that with as much flying as she does - no .gov aircraft, she probably flys 1st class, but on COMMERCIAL aircraft - There a good chance that she might be on the next takover attempt. What's the old saying, "A conservative is a liberal who's been mugged."?

Boxer's up for re-election this year. What are the chances she's just trying to deny her opponent ammunition?

    Do not be fooled.
Boxer is an anti-gun lunatic. She is simply running for reelection and arming the pilots is so common sense that even she can't side step it.
This is standard government official line, only authorized, Federal employees can be trusted with guns. We the sheeple must be disarmed.
She will never, ever agree to supporting even limited Second Amendment rights.

Ms. Boxer's recent anomalous behavior has not redeemed her. She has not by any stretch established a trend that would suggest the need to reevaluate my opinion of her. She'll always have animus in reserve.

She wasn't the one standing at the podium in the article's picture, by the way. That person was a white Republican man, which remains the best constituency to attach one's self to in the continuing fight for Second Amendment rights.

Ya mean, kinda like San Francisco City Hall issuing marriage licenses despite a law that proscribes it? (I'm not anti-gay-marriage per se, just anti-hypocrisy)

Sen. Boxer is a fantastic Senator. And attitudes like many above, do not help us pro-gun Dems elect more pro-gun Dems. It's like some folks are more interested in using this issue as a wedge issue, than in making progress on it.

A tiger can't change his stripes, and Boxer isn't changing her tune...she

knows that it's re-election time and public opinion is changing... just like

a true politician....she still needs to be voted out.

One pro-gun vote does not a pro-gun Senator make. When Boxer decries the use of 'gun control' and introduces a repeal of the GCA and NFA, as well as the AWB, I will consider voting for her. Until then, she remains an anti in my eyes, as well as 99% of the members of this board.

Yes of course, why it's because of "fantastic senators" like her that California is such a shining example of the RKBA. Living in California, you almost have all the rights of an American citizen, almost. :(

    Fantastic Senator....*snicker* Good one!

This is the best of both worlds for Ms. Marx here. Not only does she get to vote pro-gun and claim that ad nauseum, but she also gets to create another protected class who will enjoy the right to bear arms while we, her subjects, do not. I think I still hate Feinstien more though...though it's close some days.

    w4rma,

Could you point out a few examples of Sen. Boxer voting for anything good, or against anything bad? **(Not lmited to RKBA, but actross the entire political spectrum)** I'm curious, because she has always seemed like a hard core socialist to me. Perhaps you would care to enlighten us. Inquiring minds wish to know!
