I've been planning and trying to get these guns done for a while, and last night, they were completed! Let me know what you think! One is for me, one is for my best man. The Latin says "Brothers to infinity".

Can't say enough about the engraver, great guy and extremely talented. Enjoy the pics!

One last step - getting them polished. I will do that soon enough though.

    Thanks!

They look great! Last time I was a best man I got a flask. Not that I'm complaining about the flask, but a 1911 that looks like that is WAY better! Great job!

Real nice, and congratulations on the pending nuptials. The engraving and white grips really set them off.

    Thanks, Sir

I am pretty excited about it. She's a great gal. And all I have left to do on the 1911 is some hand polishing so they shine a bit more, and oh, some sort of case.

    I used to photograph weddings,,,

One in particular was where the groom was an LAPD officer,,,
He bought all of his groomsmen a little Beretta .22 as a wedding party gift.

The garter his bride wore was also a holster for a small derringer,,,
She bought each member of her bridal party an NAA Mini.

Later on I found out the entire wedding party were LAPD officers.

We got interesting photos that day.

    They are Altamont grips.

And funny that you mention that LAPD wedding. This whole wedding party are LEOs as well! Great minds think alike!

Thought about derringers for the other groomsmen but I've spent a pretty penny already on the 1911s...

Very tastefully done--Kudos *glass-clinks*. Your Best Man's gonna owe you one hell of a favor :D. Congratulations!

Too many yahoos out there think "BBQ" gun means one of Castor Troy's 1911's from Face/Off :barf: (no, I won't sully this thread with an imbedded photo:p)

Why get them polished? IMO they look better with that "matte" finish.

I like the matte, but I think a slight gloss will really set them off. Thanks for the compliments folks!

Very nice... I'd bet that Remington would like to see those when they're done.

I like the very tasteful engraving - not "over the top". The grips are perfect for stainless pistols.

Congratulations, pal! I don't remember what I received when I was a best man about 30 years ago, but it wasn't anything I could chamber a round in!
