So here I am at 2:30am thinking, hmm i wonder if it would be possible to have a 7.62x25 cz-52 barrel rechambered and re rifled out to 9mm... Im not sure how well that would work, id imagine thinning the steel cant be a good idea... But I figured here would be a good place to ask. What do you think? Is it worth asking a smith/barrel maker?

It would be possible to have your barrel drilled and re-rifled, but it would cost about 5-6 times more then the gun is worth.

Federal Ordanance at one time was making CZ-52 9mm barrels.
They went out of business, but the barrels still turn up for sale from time to time on Ebay, Gunbroker, etc.

BTW: Sprotsmans Guide shows CZ-52 9mm barrels about halfway down this link.
Don't know if they really have them or not?

I am aware they make them already and Ive been scouring the internet ever since i found out.... Ill pay quite the premium for one but no-one is selling them. And the one I did find I called dibs on it and the guy said alright then he later "sold" it to someone else that day.... How can it be that much to redo it? I know that 5-6 times the price of the gun was an exaggeration ($300ish x6=1800ish) but still. Do you think anyone would take on the project?
