Base and Rings For Vanguard

I have read (somewhere) that the base and rings for a Weatherby Vanguard (Old model, not S2) is the same as the Remington 700.

Any Smiths out there to veryify that info??

Found a deal at Cabela's on the rifle, need to equip it with a scope....

You don't need a 'smith,just look at Weaver's base listings.The bases are the same.And for proof I can verify that they work for my Vanguard.

I believe you're correct, iirc you'll find them listed under Howa 1500/Rem 700.

Bases for the Vanguard are the same as the Rem700/Howa 1500. I have mounted scopes on several dozen over the years.
