What's the consensus on a bayonet on a mid length AR? I have a newly completed RRA project and for some reason, I think I'd complete the asthetics w/ a bayonet
All help & suggestions are appreciated...just be constructive ;)

If you like the look go for it. Personally I think the idea of putting a knife on the end of a high capacity semi-auto rifle is like, tits on a bull. But hey what ever floats your boat.

Me and a few buddies put a bayonet on a pellet gun once along with a scope and a 2 d cell Maglite. Dont remember why just know we thought it all looked cool togather. If you want to add edged weapons to your rifles the more power to you.

In my state, because my AR has a fixed 10 round mag, I can get most everything else for my AR. Now, I would trade alot of accessories to have a mag release but since I can't/don't, I'm going w/ more peripherals :D

Usmccpl - Love the Pellet Gun Idea

Please forgive me, I just had to comment here...you and your buddies sound like my how my friends and I were - fascinated with projectile-throwers of all kinds even at an early age! We bought luminous tape from Brigade Quartermasters to give ourselves "night sights" on our assorted air rifles, pistols, and revolvers. One of my pals even took to duct-taping Cyalume light sticks to arrows so as to achieve a "tracer" effect when shot from his compound bow at night. And never mind our homegrown launchers for bottle rockets...I'm thinking one of my buddies attempted taping a slim PVC tube to a BBgun barrel for a sort of "M203-like hybrid" hahaha...

I just talked to the guys that was with me when we did that. It seems there was a ferel cat problem and the neighbors didnt like it when we used one fellers 1911 so we got the pellet rifle, mounted a scope, and applied the light and for the critters that didnt die from the shot we applied the bayonet that I had brought home as a war trophy. The pelletgun was the dubbed the "Ultimite Tactical Cat Killer".We were then told that Marines and Miller Genuine Draft shouldnt be mixed.
