I am considering a VX-I 2-7x33 Leupold with a LR duplex reticle or the upgrade Leupold VX-II 3x9x33 EFR with LR duplex reticle.

1 - will the $400 VX-II be $200 better than the $220 VX-1??

2- do i really need EFR for shots that go out to only 125 yds, most of my long shots will be 75 to 100yds.

3-will the dots on the LR duplex reticle help on 100yd shots with rifle zeroed for 50 yds?

4- i need a 1 inch tube.

5- any suggestions for other brands and models solicited.

thanks,

Bull

I don't like multiple dots, circles, ect. especially on a rimfire. , They cover too much target. I use a Leupold 2-7 rimfire with a simple duplex on one of my silhouette guns. I just learned how much to hold over for the longer distances.

I have the 3-9x33; and, while I'm a big fan of Leupold, I think that my Burris Fullfield II 3x9x40 is the better scope.
