I buy both of the above like crazy. Lots of rimfire and BP guns! Of course pretty much all my centerfire guns get either fed or a taste of BP. Of all the shells I fire from my shotgun, only about 25% of them are loaded with smokeless.
Speaking of rimfire, I really wish they'd bring back the old .32 rimfires. I would LOVE a rifle in .32 caliber. A nice 100 grain bullet at 1000 FPS with pinpoint accuracy would be a nice small game gun!

I guess were not supposed to mention 2nd generation Colt PeaceMakers. Oh yeh I forgot to mention a .32 Lancaster Flintlock by Pedersoli

Will, the exact same thing happened with me. And I love that pair o' Colts! Not sure you guys would laugh at me if I said "When I was a kid" being that most folk on here have been shooting guns since before my parents were born.
But I was a 90's kid. I played with cap guns that looked like Peacemakers or 73' Remingtons. And of course there was that one rifle I had that looked like a lever gun, you'd put a roll of caps in through the bottom and when you racked the lever a fresh paper cap would go under the hammer while it was being cocked. The only problem was when I was in a "shootout" there would be the need to remove the little red stub of paper for every shot fired.
Almost all my friends in the same age group played "Halo" or some other futuristic shoot-em-up video game, and as a consequence they all want Glocks and MP5's. Or AOW's.
That's why it's great to grow up on westerns. When you get old enough to get the real thing, it's so cheap and there's no paperwork. That is why there's so many blackpowder addicts, and that is why this thread took off like a bottle rocket (another fun toy from my childhood.) And that's BP addiction 101 in a nutshell!
Sorry if I'm reminiscing too much, I had a good childhood. My parents got me a Red Ryder for cryin' out loud.

I had a metal cap gun six shooter that looked like a cartridge converted Colt 1860, and a Johnny Rebel cannon, and so did my older brother, and we had felt kepis, but he always made me wear the blue one.... you should have been born in 1960. You'd have fit right in.
I think I've got 17 right now. That's actually down quite a bit from a year or two ago; been pretty merciless about thinning the herd. Future cuts will eventually leave about half a dozen.
If I could find a Browning Mountain Rifle with browned furniture (as opposed to brass) in .54 at a price I could live with, that count would immediately drop to 16 and make the decision regarding what makes the final cut easier...

Will, I think I had a similar looking cap gun when I was younger. To tell you the truth I was like the Burt Gummer of cap guns at that age! Haha!

First came on the market at the tail end of the '70s and I have no idea how short the production run went. Only made for a few years at most. They made 'em in .45, .50 and .54 with either brass trim or browned steel trim and a special commemorative version.
Here's a poor quality image of the one I stumbled into awhile back that turned me onto them: a .45 with brass trim.

I have a '58 Remmie 5 1/2" bbl and a BP conversion barrel for my Mossberg 500. So my Mossy is the 1/2 BP, 1/2 not. Hey, it counts, and it shoots well.
