Here's a picture of my wife performing the "create a hide and successfully make your shot from it" exercise during a LEO training class last fall. Honest, she's really in this pic and, yes, she made the approx 360 yd shot while concealed.

Firearms and our better halves

I really hope that my future children take up their Daddy's (some say unnatural) love of firearms. My lover of the past three years is not interested in learning to shoot despite my best efforts. She is aware of the IMO necessity of owning and being proficient in the use of weapons in todays world. I am thankful for that.

I had one o' those guns like you have in the yellow case, but it shot terrible groups and hardly had any penetration. Shoulda gotten the red Swingline.

Took my better half to the range a month or so ago, and now we have one of her targets hangin' in the garage (in case someone wants to break in thataway, give 'em fair warnin' and all)

Luckily, I haven't had any problems with mine, other than the fact that the trigger pull must be about 30 pounds...

My wife's pink Kel-Tec was made by buying the plastic grip frame in a color called "ivory" for something like $25 and boiling in pink RIT dye for like 5 minutes. Then I dried it, washed it a dozen times, and put it all together. It's permanent, but gets stained by the soot from the barrel. It looks okay, not great.
