Beeman R9 air rifle - used price?

Saw one of the R9s today at a gun store - rifle basically looked new. Apparently no box - may possibly have the instruction manual , did not talk to the store owner - one of his helpers. Anyway , they had $219 on it. He is usually high on most of his prices but he does not deal in air guns very much. This would still be much cheaper than ordering a new one. Things I should look for when buying a used air rifle? Does his asking price sound right for the R9?

dnrsports.com has them for $248.45 + shipping and I believe Pomona Airguns will match advertised Beeman prices and they have free shipping on Beeman guns. HTH

MP-44 , Thanks for the info - unless he was willing to come down some on the price the new one would seem like the way to go - then there is no doubt on how the rifle was cared for. I will check out dnrsports!
