Benelli R1 owners...

Hello friends,

Last weekend at a Ducks Unlimited Banquet, I won the great gun giveaway raffle and chose the Benelli R1 in '06 with (I presume) a Leupold VX-1 3x9x40 scope.

Searching the forums here I have found two things, 1. the rifle not the most accurate and 2. the R1 is not a commonly owned rifle... Any owners like to chime in on their rifles? I am pretty excited regardless to pick it up.

I hunt with an R1 owner. He says he has shot a one inch group at 100 yards once (not a frequent shooter). I never shot it but got a chance to handle it a little. It was fairly handy in size and weight, and it had a 2 stage trigger that broke clean. I would definitely want to get an R1 if I were in the market for a semi hunting rifle.
