I don't see too much about the Benelli R1 rifles on the boards I visit and wondering if anybody has an opinion on them. I picked up a couple a year ago. A carbine in 30-06 and rifle in .308, yeah, kinda backwards with the loadings, but got a good deal. Other than spare mags being wicked expensive, I don't have any complaints. I've only shot a box full of ammo through each to sight in and play a little bit. The carbine came with factory iron sights and I can't believe how good they are and will pick up a set for the rifle (if I can find them :uhoh:)

Not your typical looking hunting rifle, but given my good luck with the Benelli shotguns, I'm surprised that they haven't been more popular.

Anybody got an opinion on these units???

I would absolutely love one. I've held one but I've never shot one.
