Beretta 9000?

Last I heard over at www.berettaforum.net was the 9000 is a discontinued item. Lots of the complaints mentioned here were responsible for the pistol not selling well anywhere. A local shop in Orlando was blowing them out at $299 and they had a pile of them.

As for me...no way. The style is to over the top and the feel of the weird slide design is abysmal. No desire for one at all. Even at $299 NIB.

The D and SD were discontinued in both calibers. The SF is alive and well with no plans at the present time to cease production.

Is the 9000s the same as the SF? I've only seen the "s" models and the DAO model -- don't recall its letter designation.

Saw the Matrix movie on cable where the girl (Trinity) had the Beretta 9000s -- I'd like to know where she was carrying it wearing that outfit! :)

I think these (DA/SA "s" models) are great guns if you can get over the thickness, nice to get a brand name gun for under $350. But if you need a CCW, probably best to look elsewhere because of the gun's thickness.
