Beretta 92fs compact

I want one of those badly. Love the 92 platform and the sleekness of the Italian design makes for a gorgeous gun that handles really well.

To be honest I am not really a fan of anything that takes a magazine but my wife really likes it. All I know is that as fast as she burns through the 9mm stuff I am going to have to bite the bullet (pun intended) and start reloading for it. I have been avoiding it (I hate chasing brass from autos) but now that I am down to about a 1000 rounds and commercial stuff is rarer than hens teeth, it is what it is I guess.

I have both the 92D Compact and the 92DM Compact (the 8 shot, single stack magazine) and like them a lot. I prefer them to the full size 92. I will probably have to get one of the 92X Compact's as I prefer the VERTEC grip to the regular one.

Hey guys and gals,

Has anyone considered writing or e-mailing BERETTA with a request for another run of the 92CM 8 shot, single stack magazine guns. There seems to be some interest in them from what I am reading and they really are easier for a person with smaller hands to shot. At least for me.

While I've not handled a Type M, I've read forum posts elsewhere, from a former Beretta employee (and I believe the guy behind the Vertec), that in spite of the single column magazine, the 92M grip was just as thick as a 92FS.

I believe his take was not to expect to see a Type M in the future. However, that was a few years ago before all these other Beretta offerings showed up on the market. With the Vertec grip available, I'm not sure there is a market for an 8 shot gun basically the same size.
