I was thinking of getting this pistol specifically for this ammo, and having the barrel threaded. I read several places online that people have said it cycles fine; I wanted to check again before I get one! As long as clean and oiled of course. I couldn't find any videos or a whole lot of info regarding this. It seems one of few actions besides 10/22 Firefly bolt that will cycle them. They are super quiet and fun!

    Thx

Back when I had a Neos Carbine, regular CCI Quiet would cycle the action with that long 16" barrel building up a little extra pressure. I don't think I tried regular CCI Quiet in the 4.5" handgun configuration.

However, CCI makes a Quiet for semi-autos as well. I bet it would cycle the Neos just fine. https://www.cci-ammunition.com/rimfire/cci/quiet-22_semi-auto/6-975CC.html

I have not shot CCI Quiet but my Neos handles pretty much anything I put in it, Now. But there was a time it would not handle several brands. Very ammo sensitive. I had to send it back to Beretta (under warranty) for repairs. Now no problems.

Could you try? Lol. I may take the gamble still a nice gun. Suppressors also add a little pressure.
I have shot quiet and quiet - semi auto. Noticeable difference in sound. Cci Quiet with my osprey is like pellet gun.

It gets close like in my mp22 but won’t fully eject. Someone said the firing pin spring on the beretta is lighter perhaps.

They wouldn't cycle my gun and they weren't that accurate for me so I resold them on gunbroker.

    Your gun was a NEOS?

A gun smith told me the NEOS bolt can be lightened to cycle the quiet cci. Any ideas how? I think it already has a light firing pin spring.

I did get the gun, brand new never fired 6 in barrel. The first thing I fired was CCI quiet lol. The bolt is noticeably lighter feeling. It ejects the round but didn't load the next one very well. I think once it's worked in and once I suppress it adding some more back pressure it will work better. Also maybe oil some more. Like I said earlier I was told the bolt can be lightened even more for more reliability for this cool round.
