A friend let me do this table top review of this Beretta/Wilson 92G. I shot the 92 so much in the military they had become boring to me. But this has renewed my interest.

Double Action Trigger a smooth 6 pounds are you kidding me
Single Action is 3 pounds.

It is one of the more balanced pistols i have shot in a very long time.

Anyone else owns one what do you think? Also I have seen some come with a fluted recoil guide rod but this one isn't. Is there any real benefit to the fluting in a guide rod other than shaving weight?

If you haven't been following the Beretta 92 world, there have been a whole bunch of options that have popped up in the past few years.

Along with Wilson Combat, Langdon Tactical has been a big player as has been Beretta themselves.

Wilson Combat https://shopwilsoncombat.com/Order-Beretta_Wilson-Collaboration-Pistols/products/1127/

Langdon Tactical, of particular note the Elite LTT, and the "Trigger Job in the Bag" https://www.langdontactical.com

Beretta USA, note the new 92X family http://www.beretta.com/en-us/berett...22.1527883293.1568491793-166226167.1567714349

On that page it says not caompatible with the Centurion model. Though I have seen a Centurion Wilson model with that recoil guide rod in it. That's what I am curious about maybe they discontinued it for the Centurion model.
