I shoot the Beretta well but it points naturally to the right. I'm considering the Vertec for the same shootability but hopefully an improved fit.

Anyone prefer the Vertecs?

Skunk,

The Beretta 92 just does not work for my small hands. I can understand why you pull to the right. I can't even operate the controls one handed. It's a brick for sure. I would like to check out the Vertec but I want to handle it before I buy it and no dealer around here has ever carried one. I really like the Beretta but the full size models are out of the question for me.

I like mine a lot. I had a problem getting the distal (sp?) joint of my trigger finger in the right place on the regular 92 but can hold this one correctly. The rail is kinda tactical too!:D I don't think carbon fiber grips are available, though.:(

This is one reason why I don't have one

Pretty lame huh, but that is The Way of the Skunk.

I prefer the Vertec's straight back grip to the conventional Beretta, as it seems to reduce the guns tendency to torque under recoil. Put a frame mounted safety on it, ala the old style 92s and I might just buy one.

Thumbs Up VERTEC

<-------------Like VERTEC lots:)

I had held off getting a BERETTA 92 for years.....although I like the quality and the reliabilty, I didn't like the way the gun felt in my hands.

Enter the VERTEC and I got one almost immediately. The gun feels much better in my hands, I like having replaceable front sites without going to the extra slide wieght of the Brigadier size slide, and they throw in the lightrail!

Get a VERTEC[92G if you can, I love mine], send it to Ernie Langdon, and you will be a happy camper:cool:

Maybe I'm too much of a traditionalist, I just haven't warmed up to them :uhoh: Skunk - maybe after you buy one & let me put a few rounds down range, I'll have a diff't opinion. As for now, I've moved on...:D

IMO they lack the grace of the traditional Beretta...If I transition to the Vertec, I'll keep Nina around because she takes the same mags anyway.

Why the hell aren't there carbon fiber grips for the Vertec?!?! :D

Vertec works great for me. Grip was too large on standard 92FS.

I LOVED the way the full sized Beretta shot. I was happy to find the Vertec. - all I had to do was swap out the hammer spring and I am very pleased with this gun.

I am not sure I will use the "rail" for attachments but if I need it, it's there.

Patience grasshopper! Accessories will start popping up as more people purchase the gun & start needing new grips, lights, sights, lasers etc...
