I'm sorry if these two have been compared already but I was just wondering which one do you guys (and ladies) prefer and why. My next purchase, which will be in the next two to three weeks, will between these two handguns. I have held both of these guns and like them both even though I have not fired either one. Any opinions?

I have a ruger p95dc and it has been ultra reliable. It will eat anything I feed it and it's as tuff as a sledge hammer.I don't think you will regret buying a Ruger.

Just bought a Bersa Ultra Compact 9mm...and well picked up a Walther PPKS
as well...just couldn;t resist bargaines on either...plan on carrying the Bersa..
as I got them only today can't really tell you much...give me some time to shoot them then I'll tell you whether they are keepers or not...

I have no personal experience with the Bersa, although I have thought about one of their 380's. I do have experience with the Ruger P series, and I can say without a doubt it's a great gun. I lean toward it.

I had a Ruger P-95DAO. The price was right, and it was reliable out of the box with Win. USA 115 gr. FMJ and Speer +p 124 gr. JHP. I no longer have it. I have a CZ75DAO, and I like it better. It is heavier, and easier to shoot in rapid fire.

I have the Bersa in .45 but I also love the Ruger P series. Either would be a good choice

Hrm, they are considerably different what are you trying to accomplish with it? The P95 is a quality budget firearm but will be larger than the Bersa. If you are going to conceal carry and don't mind a good sized firearm either will be a good choice.

I've owned and carried P90 and P94 Rugers, while they are large I never had any trouble with either of them, concealment is not a problem but requires a good holster. A friend just bought a Bersa to replace a Ruger P89 as his carry firearm and likes it but has found it shoots high at 8 and 25 yards (could just be him).

For general non concealed use I'd go for the Ruger.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Shadow- I just wanted a new 9mm and didn't want to spend too much. I own a Bersa Thunder .380 and have had no problems with it since I bought it over a year ago . I like both the P95 and Bersa UC 9MM in the style departments but I just needed that extra statement of owner joy and bias to push me to get one or the other . :D

I think the Bersa's are ok guns, but the Ruger P-series will never let you down and will last longer than you. I respect them very much.
