I've been thinking if Bersa expanded their semi-auto handgun line they would outsell Taurus, I based this on Bersa's reputation of making good handguns at bargain prices. I don't want to sound like a Taurus basher, they just need to step up their quality control a bit (this would happen with some stronger competition from Bersa).

Let the polling begin, pick your favorite!!!

I have owned both in the past.

I still own taurus pistols. I've been very pleased with taurus's quality, have never really had any problems.

The bersa, well if it would feed the ammo, it was ok, just a little picky. Just did not think it was as reliable. IMHO.

See now,I also have both a couple of Taurus's and Bersas...I like both and have no problems with neither except a PT 111 but that was eventually fixed. This is like comparing apples and oranges...I trust both with my life, and my household security.

Tough question really because it boils down to 'preference' not which is better...

Taurus makes great revolvers in all different assortments. As a matter of fact a gunsmith told me the other day that Smith even used some of taurus designs for their newer model guns. Plus they are cheap :). Bersa also makes a good .380 which I personally own, it is one of my most accurate guns once it got a good cleaning and breaking in.

I have both and like both trying to make up my mind which will be the next hand gun I will by would like a 9mm looking at both bersa and taurus.

I'm a taurus :) Held and shot pleanty of them but never owned one never concidered buying a Taurus they never really caught my eye but the Bersa did in a heart beat. I have learned to follow my instincts hey havent whent wrong yet! So I would have to go Bersa!!:neener:

Taurus PT111 SSP milpro.
+5k rds, no failure, affordable, accurate..

to each their own, my picks for compacts are Taurus and Kahr...

ip.

I own 1 Taurus revolver and have had no problems.
Also own 5 Bersa semi-auto pistols . Love 'em all.
My wife owns the pink Taurus 380 that we got from Gander Mountain. It is the most finicky pistol I have ever seen.
My vote is for Bersa.
My daughter carries a Bersa UC9 and loves it even over her Glock 19.
My step daughter owns a Bersa 380cc and loves it.

I vote Taurus because they produce the revolvers I buy, carry and shoot. Taurus also makes some fine semi-autos and I own a couple of them. I only own one .380 Bersa. But as there is a seat for every behind, there is a firearm for every hand. They are both fine firearms in there own class.

Bresa.
Inexpensive.
Life time warranty.
Several hundred round no major problems, just feed problems with Remington green box,so I dont use them.

Gave the PT 111 to my Brother-In-Law

Owned the Taurus PT 111, Gave it to my Brother-In-Law, not because it was not as good but because I loved my 2 BT 380s and the best the Thunder 9UC.
Buying a Rossi 357 Snubbie made by Taurus just because Bersa does not make a 357 Revolver.
Love Both
Bill

I own a Taurus CHULT and a Bersa Thunder 380. I like the Taurus, a sound tool. I TRUST the Bersa with my and my family's life. It's a Bersa thing.

gotta go with the Bersa, me and the wife both have one(had to buy her one cuz she liked mine so much) and carry them often.

I believe Taurus has a little better quality over Bersa, but I would own either with a preferrence for Bersa semi-autos and Taurus revolvers.
