Best 1-6 power scope?

Looking for the best 1-6 power scope which has the closest 1 power clarity [in other words, closest to what you'd get from a red dot optic]. For example, the Burris LRS that I have looks about as close to no power at all. Can be 1-4, but I'd like to get a little further with a 6 power.

Not wanting to break the bank. Let me know what your suggestions are.

Three great optics at three separate price ranges for you to look into:

Primary Arms 1-4x (Or their excellent but more expensive 1-6x ACSS)

Bushnell 1-4X24 FFP Throwdown. This is an optic I use very frequently and find it very fast to use at 1X considering its illumination and generous eyebox. If I ever replace this scope, it's because I've come into money and decided to spring for a much more expensive Leupold

Vortex Strike Eagle. I've not used it, but Vortex optics routinely do well in their respective classes and this one looks very promising.

Define "Break the Bank"

the Leupold Mk6 1-6 is a sweet scope for just short of 3 grand.

Nightforce has the NXS 1-4, and US Optics has a 1.5-6 that are both very nice in the $1200 range.

Swarovski has a 1-6 that I've been told is very nice for a little more.

From there there are different offerings every hundred or so dollars down to $80 crap.

What's your budget, what's your intended use?

To add on to Spazzymcgee's post, I have a couple of the Primary Arms 1-6, and I've held a Vortex Strike Eagle. I'm pretty sure they are from the same factory, and Primary Arms's has more features at a better price. I wouldn't get a strike eagle.

Unless you have had the opportunity to try them all.......you`ll never really know.

Ones eye`s have a lot to do with the end result.

A very good illuminated tactical type 30mm scope for under $400 at optics planet and Amazon. I have one and highly reccomend it as the glass is very bright and clear and crisp, heavy duty construction (in Phillapines with Japanese glass) and excellent warranty

A big vote for the Primary Arms 1-6x ACSS for me. Best scope out there for its class and for the money, IMO, of course.

Yeah, Primary Arms 1-6x ACSS

If you drop to 4x max, there's more of a conversation, but not at 6x. At that mag level PA is the best till about $600-$700 is spent.
