I'd have a hard time putting the Redhawk at the top of that list. The cylinder is massive for sure and you'd be hard-pressed to hurt it. But the mass of the cylinder works against it if you're talking about rapid fire. The bolt has to stop the cylinder spin on every shot and will be hammered badly. I give the GP-100 the nod for longevity.

You're probably right. But I'd sure like to have a Redhawk and find out for myself.:D

686 all the way!!! and honestly the wife and I are having loads of fun with her 60 Pro. Even the little J-Frame eats full house mags like candy once you learn to shoot.

The older N-Frames do have a mass issue and can get out of time if you shoot them fast. But over all that is a very cheap part to replace and bone idle easy to fit and get yourself match grade line up if your cylinder, crane and frame are up to it.

While I will own a Royal Phoenix and like the blue and massive grip. I don't find Ruger's to be what most folks claim about the GP-100. It's a freaking tank because of the get by needed concerning mass production investment casting. I looked at 3 RP's just today. All three looked great! I mean like a blued pistol should look. Fit and finish were great! But the triggers sucked on all three. Worse than a new cheap J-Frame. And the death nail was the range rod. All three balked. If the LGS would have come off the $575 price a tad I would have left with one and shot the crap out of it after a trigger job and tune up. So I left with another CZ-52. :) I know,,, I'm strange. A CZ-52 in hand is better than a GP-100 under glass. LMAO
