Best 50 Cal

So I am in the market to spend no more than 8k on a .50, only criteria is accuracy out of the box (don't want to spend a bunch of extra $$$$ on smithing), quick availability (don't want to wait too long), mag fed. This price does not include optics (but it would be nice to have some $$$ left over to go toward good glass).

Mag fed does increase the price and I know that, my reasoning is that I don't really have a good one other than that is what I want. Talk me out of it other than price.

I am looking for help because this will be my first 50 purchase and you can read way too much as usual. I was leaning toward a Barrett but then the out of box accuracy was questioned so then McMillan came up so I decided to ask the people here at THR. Remember I said up to 8K that doesn't mean I won't spend less if the reasoning and opportunity are there.

I think the avenue you want to go is an Armalite AR-50 and a good scope (Think a Leupold MK4)

AW50 would be my choice, but it's over $12k.

The Advanced Long-Range Systems (ALS) "AR" style upper is popular in 50BMG 1000-yard benchrest and won't break the bank.

The AR-50 is a good rifle, as is the Safety Harbor.
