I think this board is rubbing some luck off on me. I traded a NAA mini mag revolver for a milled Arsenal SLR-100H ak47.

A buddy of mine bought it at a gunshow last week, fired ONE shot of steel cased wolf and it ripped the head off the caseing. I just ordered a broken shell extractor so I should be good to go in a few days. I suspect that it was grease that caused the head case seperation, the inside of that rifle was CAKED with waxy grease. The only other down side is that somebody drilled/tapped the reciever for a AK scope mount and its missing one of the screws. I'll probably have it removed and pluged or rivited back on, not sure about that yet.

I beg to differ.

I got a Sig P226 e2 w/ box, and 3 factory 15 round mags, night sights, SRT trigger for $500 dollars at a gun show last weekend. LOL

Not sure what that guy was up to, but he had everything on his table marked up 200+ dollars over reasonable. This one however, he must've put out by accident. Forgot to mention, no slide wear, no rubbing on barrel at all. Looks like he put less than a box through it.

I love the sig 226's

The guy who sold me the AK had the first one I ever had any experiance with. I sunk his truck once and it spent 3 hours underwater/mud before we could recover the truck. The slide and barrel flash rusted and we covered it with used motor oil to keep it from rusting any more. Shot it that evening with out cleaning it and it never skipped a beat.

Between the two of us we have had 5-6 of them since then.

1940 Terni Carcano

I got a 1940 Terni Carcano in 7.35 mm for free because my buddy had never heard of it, and they don't sell the bullets at Wal-Mart!

A 581 for $250.00, private sale from a old snake-eater buddy. He was selling for an elderly acquaintance who wanted 250. Score!
It's a sweet shooter.

Got a used 590A1 for $175, I thought that was a pretty good deal.

Traded a 870 12ga for a NIB Ruger Mark II 50th anniversary edition.

My best deal was a trade. I got a Romanian AK, 6 box mags, a drum mag, and a 1000 rounds of ammo in exchange for a Beta-C mag.

got y'all beat My wife got her 38 with 300 lead rounds for free.
Couple of years later I got from the same guy a totally moded SKS and over 1100 rounds of ammo for free.

I bought an early 32 H&R semiauto for $50.00 in 1985. I traded the H&R for 1) Llama 22 semiauto, and 2) Ruger MKI 22 semiauto in 1986. Sold the Llama for $150.00 in 1992 and the Ruger for $400.00 in 2007. So, $500.00 profit and had the Ruger for fun for 20 years. Replaced the Llama with a new Ruger single six in 1996 for $214. Replaced the MKI with a new MK III stainless target this year for $395.00.

This long chain of deals resulted in me getting a new Single Six and a new stainless MKIII for a total of $159.00 out of pocket.

Nothing as good as those but I did get a full size 9mm Beretta PX4 Storm from the pawn shop for 350 about a year ago that showed NO wear and tear. I was pretty happy.

Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional.

When I got my S&W M&P about 4 years ago I got it from CDNN for $420 and $5 shipping. S&W was running a rebate of $50 AND two free mags.

So I got the gun and 4 mags for $390 including the FFL fee.

robhof

This was a few years back, but an unfired Dan Wesson model 40 357Max for $160. The owner made me swear that I wouldn't bring the gun back; apparently it had come back twice as he said that they don't make ammo for it any more. It's had several rounds through it since and a few barrels added.
