The ammo or a weapon ?

    :)

You may need to narrow down what you want in a 45acp pistol.

    Full size 1911?

    Conceal/Carry?

I shopped around once and bought a used stainless Kimber 1911 (nib condition with box, papers) for $585.

I also have a Taurus 24/7 which I bought NIB for $330. That's not a bad deal for a stainless slide, polymer grip, 12 round 45acp weapon.

For brass cased ammo, Winchester White Box at WalMart is still hard to beat. Wolf can be cheaper, but I don't like to use it much. Every now and again you'll find S&B or some other EuroBrand on sale at certain importers, but they usually have order minimums and the shipping can get expensive in a hurry due to weight.

I handload my 45ACP ammo, so I'm getting it for about $7/box of 50. :neener:

i havent been able to find a better deal than this. works out to less than $10/box of 50 after shipping as long as i buy at least 10 boxes.

i dont reload so this works out well for me but if you want brass then this is a good deal too.

i see alot of complaints about blazer ammo but it is utterly reliable and very accurate in my kimber classic custom.

You can get reloaded FMJ in .45 acp ammo from Cabelas, for $300 for 1200 rounds. its bulk ammo though, but seems like a pretty good deal.

Midway USA has Magtech 230gr FMJ for $9.49. I got their "Shooting size" 250 round boxes for $54.99. The Cabelas bulk .45 is Ultramax reloads and works just fine for me. I just got an order for 300 rds of Ultramax and 2 Magtech "Shooting size".
