I find my wood stock to be awkward and a bit punishing, so I'm looking for something a bit more ergonomic.
I'm thinking of putting a collapsable stock on my AK and wonder who makes the best? Stability, durability, fit, feel, these are my chief concerns. Also, ease of installation.
Thanks.

I like either the CAA or VLTOR adapter tubes. They are drop in and work well. You can run a number of AR stocks on them, I'm partial to magpuls. A CTR for example will work very well. This adapters are probably the best intersection between ease of installation and utility. If you can turn a screw you can isntall them and the work well.

Then there is the option of using a folding mechanism

I'd skip the tapco one.

Thanks! How does the ACE stack up? The foldable looks nice!

Are you sure replacing it with an M4-style stock is going to be less "punishing"? This isn't a .223 rifle, it's not going to kick like one. Sounds like you really just need a butt pad.

It's more punishing to my cheek than my shoulder. If I could adjust LOP I feel I could get a better cheek weld.
