Best place to rent guns in Knox/Oakridge area.

A couple that my wife and I are friends with, that are pretty new to shooting, recently took their class for the TN carry permit. They are now looking for something that they are comfortable with, both for carry and home defense, so I am looking for a shop in the Knoxville Oakridge area that has a range and rents. They are wanting to try out several different handguns, (and I have my eyes on a couple of things as well). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Coal Creek Armory has an indoor pistol range and rents. I've found their customer service to be hit and miss.

Don't think they have a range, maybe one close by, but Frontier Firearms,I-40 Xit 356 in Kingston are great folks. Been out there to look, didn't buy anything, told them my son and I were just looking and wanted to see their place. Answered all questions and their prices are comparable, just really knowledgeable folks. Circuit Rider

in the not-too-distant-future, frontier firearms will have an indoor range. i'm sure they'll be renting guns

Try Gunny's in Maryville. It's not far from OakRidge, just down Pellissippi. They rent, and allow rifles on the range, up to .50 cal, but no steel core.

I'm sure they can guide you to a local range that might have rentals.

When I started out renting I used Coal Creek Armory and their range, nice facility, prices aren't that great for retail purchases.

One of my neighbors likes Gunny's. I haven't been there yet. Nice that you can rifle there.
