I've never ordered ammo online but the best selection and price to me seems to be AmmunitionToGo

Whats your opinion?

I've ordered from Ammunitiontogo in the past (until they ran out of S & B 9mm) and had good dealings with them. I now order from Cabela's and I'm real happy with them. Cabela's shipping cost is very reasonable.

How do you like "Academy" in Decatur?

What have you been ordering from Cabelas?

Are you from Alabama also?

I like Academy in Decatur but i can only compare it to the Academy in Hoover,I much prefer Academy over Dicks,Gander Mountain, and Hibbet but i never been to a Bass Pro

I order Sellier & Bellot 9mm, 115gr, FMJ for range use (Swan Creek) in my CZ P-01.

Yes.

I'm disappointed in Gander Mountain. Their Ammo prices right now are unreal. Before the shortage, they weren't too bad. Their gun prices are just plain stupid and always have been. It appears that the Bass Pro Shop deal for Decatur is out/gone for good; I'm very disappointed in that.

I do like doing business with Cabela's.

You mention Swan Creek, I shoot there also but is there a certain time to go to have the place to yourself? So far everyone has been very safe but i must admit i feel safer at the indoor range in Huntsville but it is a further drive and it costs 10 bucks where as at Swan i just buy a 10 dollar wildlife management for the whole year which i kinda think noone else even buys that lol

I see S & B 9mm is 12.99 at Cabelas plus S & H last time i bought B Brass 9mm at Walmart it was only 8.97 which it was bout 6 months ago i suppose

I discovered that the least crowded time at Swan Creek seems to be Monday morning; however, in the morning, the sun is in your eyes. I usually go about mid-day. In the winter, I shoot at Larry's, summer at Swan Creek. I can drive back and forth to Swan Creek for less gas money than the $10.00 fee at Larry's.

I've used some of the Blazer Brass from Wal-Mart. The last I bought was at the Madison Wal-Mart (this year) for about $9, I think. I really like the S & B ammo though and mostly now use it. Maybe just my imagination, but the S & B from recent purchases seems to burn very clean - much more so than what I initially got from AmmunitionToGo before they ran out.

Made my first trip to Academy today. I like the store - first one I've ever been in. They have an SP-01 Tactical for $699 - not too bad considering Angus is selling them for only $16 less. Think I need to find a way to buy it.

Also handled the P-07 for the first time. OK I think, but not really what I'm looking for at this time.

On line it's hard to beat Natchez these days. www.natchezss.com

Whatever you can find at Wal-Mart generally beats anyone else. Yesterday I , FMJ, not JHP, saw Federal 9mm there for $9.47.

Can't online order from Natchez in Alabama (Tenn & Georgia, I think). Some kind of arrangement between Natchez and dealers in those states. It's real weird.

Funny you mention the SP01 it is the one gun i handled at Academy this weekend,i cant afford it but it caught my eye

Where did you see a P07 and how much was it? Thanks

Who is Angus?

The P-07 was at Academy in Decatur. They had the P-07, SP-01 and 75B. If I remember correctly the P-07 was $449.

Angus Hobdell is the CZ USA shooter guy. He has the CZ Custom Shop, www.czcustom.com in Mesa, AZ

Thanks Domato, I wanna think the SP01 i handled was a 40 but i may be mistaken it was directly behind the 75B in the case somehow i overlooked the P07 however i saw a P07 today for 402 in Sheffield,AL
