Thanks for the advice. I think I'll go with my original instinct (and popular opinion) and get the Yugo. I appreciate all the help and will definitly consider many other brands for my next purchase.
Chrome makes the barrel last longer as it's harder and more wear resistant than steel. Chrome also resists the effects of corrosion better too.
Most people will never notice if their rifle has a chrome bore or not. It kinda depends why you are getting the rifle: range plinking or SHTF survival tool.
