I have the Regent r100 and couldn't be happier. picked it up for $450 pre panic. It has digested everything I have ran through it, and I find it to be very accurate.

Another RIA vote, LOVE my Rock Island, only thing I've done is put some black Pearce stocks (grips) on it .

Freely admitting I don't know what I don't know the RIA tactical looks to have a pretty good following.

I do want stress that this very well could be my first in a long line of 1911s. I have always liked the look but want to try the platform out. I don't make 250k per year so I do not think $1500 is a place I want to start. I might not ever get my money back out of this gun but I am looking to see if this is something I would like. For some reason I like "old style" guns. My other interest is SA six guns at the moment.

Just picked up my new RIA tactical. Bought all the ammo the had for it ( 40 rounds) and a couple spare Wilson mags. Looking forward to an actual day off so I can get to the range.

My STI Spartan has been a great gun. It compares well even to my Les Baer.
